We stock a range of glass retention clips. While they may not look exactly like your originals, they will likely do the job perfectly.
In the stove industry, clips are often generic parts. This means a clip used on a Charnwood might be the exact same shape as one used on a Stovax.

Important to Know:
β Function over Form: The clips might not be the exact same shape as your old ones. As long as they hold the glass securely against the seal, they can be used interchangeably.
β Generic Fit: We don't always list clips by "Stove Model." We list them by shape and size.
β Visual Match: You will likely need to compare your old clips to our photos to find a suitable match.

A Crucial Note on Screws
While clips are flexible in design, screws are not.
Stove manufacturers use different thread sizes and pitches (Metric vs. Imperial). The screws included in our clip packs may not fit your specific stove door threads.
If the screws don't fit:
Don't worry. If you purchase a clip set and the screws are incorrect for your stove, we can supply specific replacement screws separately.
What we need from you:
To send the right screws, you must measure your old ones and tell us:
-
The Thread Diameter (thickness).
-
The Length of the thread.

How to Find the Right Clips
Option 1: Compare Visually (Self-Service)
-
Remove one of your existing clips.
-
Visit our Clips Page.
-
Compare the shape and dimensions of your clip to the products listed. Remember: They don't need to be identical, just similar enough to hold the glass.
Option 2: Send Us Photos (We Help You)
If you are unsure, let us look for you. Please send photos showing:
-
The clip from multiple angles.
-
The clip next to a ruler (so we can see the size).
-
The mounting area on the stove door (so we can see how it attaches).

Common Clip Types
1. Screw-Type Clips (Most Common)
Small metal tabs that screw directly into the door frame to hold the glass against the seal. These come in various shapes (rectangular, Z-shaped, or circular washers).
2. Spring Clips
These rely on tension to hold the glass. They usually push-fit into holes or hook onto the door. Note: These are harder to match generically and are often specific to the manufacturer.
3. Rotating / Swing Clips
These are screwed into the door but can be rotated (swung) out of the way to release the glass without fully removing the screw.

Clip Replacement Tips
β οΈ Do NOT Overtighten!
When fitting new clips, tighten the screws until they just hold the glass firm. If you overtighten them, the metal screw will expand when hot and crack your glass. The glass should be held firmly but allow for slight expansion.
β Replace in Pairs: It is best to replace all clips at once to ensure even pressure on the glass.
β Check for Rust: If your old screws are seized, apply penetrating oil (like WD40) and let it soak before trying to remove them to avoid snapping the screw heads.
